Same, not that there are many to chose from... I normally make my own faction, trader,, researcher, and pacifist.

There is two of each, simple as that.
What I am hoping for is for more colony options, like more buildings, more planet types, and please! More texture for the freaking planets.
A barren planet would help alot in recreating Sol too.

terraformingh is an interesting idea. also they have a new planet type called moons, a somewhat op corvett class ship (as far as the TEC are concerned) and some new particle effects.

As much as I love terraforming, I do not see it being implemented in Sins... GalCiv maybe though, I would certainly like a way to raise my PQ more than three squares.

That one was nice, horribly complex to get into, but nice.
I cringed at the horrid 3D though...
Distant Worlds is a good one, it even has a private side to your empire, where resource trading and people transportation is done by the civilians, which is a nice touch after seeing so many games where only you can do something while the whole empire sits on their asses.
