This is a real great game, I have been waiting for something like this. I do, however, hope that a sandbox mode is in the works, I think that would really add some serious replay value for people who just want to do their own thing within the game. I would have even liked to see some multiplayer, but either way Nice Job!

Indeed, a sandbox scenario will be on my wish list, still could be to mod a scenario to it but i don't know about this game and if it is modifiable. But the game is pretty cool as i just bought it today.

I would love to add Mods and user created ships/missions/races - some of this might even make into patches as time goes by. For the moment the game is a pure campaign, no mods no sandbox, but plenty of hand crafted challenges and variety of missions to keep you going. Perhaps when you get close to 100% complete we will have to unlock mod powers ;)

I paid $ 16 (Canadian dollars = 15 US $) : I 'm the one who got robbed !

(In fact ... my dad's Visa card paid for the game : he got robbed.)

EDIT > Sorry if i'm off-topic : my humour (concerning the low cost of the game) has nothing to do with "Philosophy" ...

I actually still start up Dosbox with the original MoO every so often when I need my 4X fix. I like the clutterless style of the early game that was lost with the later versions.

MoO 3 owned...last great 4x

You could just say
"For the moment the game is pure campaign, no mods no sandbox, but plenty of hand crafted win to keep you going."

Yeah i agree that good single player package should be the main core of the game, the staging area for multi player... The more options the single player have the better

Hiya all, i just joined, after recently buying this game, it rocks!

The graphics might not be 2009 quality, but for this game it really doesn't need it, I still play Master of Orion 2, that should mean something, its all about the gameplay for me when it comes to these type of games, very few games have ever came close to kicking Master of Orion 2 off of its throne of 'best strategy game', this game came very, very close, the only thing it really lacked was a custom game mode, where there are random events and all that, but it doesn't really end.

It could be like, you are stuck in the solar system until you either wipe out or form alliances with all nations and somehow stop them all from fighting each other and then the rest of the galaxy opens up to you.

That would be a brilliant feature. :)

Overall, the game is very fun to play, though i do think some buildings take abit too much power for their use or the solar panels do not generate enough power, once you develop that +20 power generator, things seem to be more better.

Did you buy it through steam? cause impulse were selling it for like £8.99 and steam for £13.99 or something, abit bad on the price difference.
