Indie developers, be them of games or whatnot now have the best chance ever to succeed.

yeah thats been around for a while.
watched a few get funded such as starlight inception.
and yeah xenonaughts. an indie company is doing a better job at recreating the original xcom than firaxis

i knew about it since last year, but until now I had not actively watched it.
And honestly, I made this topic as an excuse to show you that game, as it reminded me a lot of X-Com (the small bits I did know about. )

You know what would be an interesting and original space game idea? A STL one, in which you manage an empire across the stars, without FTL of any sort. (We can say that the reason you can go between them is that each colony has a copy of you or something. )
Am I the only one who thinks it would be fun? And maybe in late game one could discover some ruin with FTL tech and curbstomp everyone else. XD

Nope, again, I knew of it since a year or so ago, but I recently revisited and saw that game I linked.
I do read XKCD which did remind me that the site existed. (I generally forget for a month or so)
